About CCHS Theatre

The Cathedral City High School Theater for the Performing Arts and the Dramatic Arts program have been entertaining valley audiences for 35 years. This distinguished program has enriched the lives of students who have gone on to be successful at the collegiate and professional level. The theater program at Cathedral City High School offers progressive courses in Theater I, Theater II, Theater III and Play Production. Students are given instruction in various styles of acting, pantomime, improvisation, stage movement and stage direction. Additional courses are offered in Stagecraft I and Stagecraft II which give students hands on experience in conceptualizing, designing and building production quality sets. CCHS Theater is part of the International Baccalaureate Program and offers an intensive course in IB Theater as part of the regular Theater program. The CCHS Theater for the Performing Arts and CCHS Drama Club Blue Mane Productions is an inclusive community and a safe space where students can express their collective creativity. We invite students, parents, families, community and civic leaders to come and experience the magic of theater.
